Best suited to external or duct environments where the construction provides protection from the ingress of water. Available in two formats; Central Loose Tube (aka Single or Uni) and Multi-Loose Tube configurations. Central LT cables is more commonly used for 4 – 24 core fibre counts, where the 250µm fibres are contained in a gel filled tube, surrounded by an E-glass moisture rodent resistant and impact/crush absorbing yarn, covered with a fire and water resistant, UV stabilised jacket. Multi-Loose Tube cables normally cater from 48-144 core fibre counts. An array of fibre and gel filled tubes surround a central strength member, layered with E-Glass yarn and an outer jacket. Our Loose Tube cables are very easy to prepare for direct termination or fusion splicing and can be used both indoor and outdoor. Dry tubes are available but tend to be made to order. Further protection can be applied to our cables, such as an additional jacket or Corrugated Steel Tape (CST) or even chemical/oil protective jackets.
